I have been totally transparent that I support women candidates.

I created #FlipItFemale (I think--parallel generation happens on here a lot).

Women are 52% of the US population and 15% representation.

If there are 2 progressive candidates and one is female, #vote her.

Representation matters.
Right now women are in a literal fight for our lives against the Trump-led #GOP juggernaut that wants to eviscerate every protection based on sex that women have fought for for decades like #EqualPay #ReproRights & #TitleIX.

We need women in Congress.

We've been told #FlipItFemale is "identity politics" when it's actually majority politics. White men are the minority--why do they wield all the power?

Men with lesser resumes and experience than women rise because of structural #misogyny.

Change that by voting for women.

I was 14 when I was abducted & sexually assaulted by a classmate (a stranger) last summer. When I told my school, I thought they would keep me safe. Here’s how Winchester Public Schools turned a bad situation into an absolute nightmare THREAD

I did everything you’re supposed to do. I reported the assault to police & my school. I assumed adults would make it better and that I would be able to have their support. Instead, the school’s response has become worse than the actual assault. @tweetwps 1/
Although a judge issued a no-contact order against my assailant and placed him under court supervision for felony abduction & sexual battery, my school’s #TitleIX investigation concluded he didn’t do it. My principal, superintendent & school board are all calling me a liar. 2/

This afternoon at #SPSA2018, I was on a #CWC panel about mentoring across genders. Below, I'll include my comments from the panel. In it, I speak candidly about my #gradschool #metoo moment. @SPSAwomen @SPSAwomen 1/n
In many ways, graduate school is designed to make students feel like impostors. It's a common experience, but it can be particularly damaging for members of groups that have traditionally lacked access to the higher ranks of our discipline. I’ll focus on women here. 2/n
For these folks, the feeling that they have “faked” or “charmed” their way into graduate school (or the #tenuretrack, etc.) can override objective evidence of their own diligence, intellect, and merit. 3/n
