Last year as part of the annual Yeats Festival @TreadSoftlyFest in #Sligo friends & I led a historical walking tour 'Threads of the Town', looking at the various textile industries & businesses that had thrived there over the past century. (@orlaffitz at the former Linen Mill.)
Joseph Martin @jmartintailor invited us into his atelier & store & talked about the business of modern tailoring. It has been a family business in Sligo since 1895 & continues to thrive despite changing tastes but quality continues to be the chief concern. josephmartin.ie
