A few months ago, my dad had to take his truck into the shop. While it was there, one of the workers scratched D-E-M-O-C off the sticker so it read "I vote for rats." Understandably, my mom (who is 71 & under 5 ft, but raised 6 daughters & terrifying when need be) was angry.

A mystery starts to unravel. Texans who are strongly Republican. Latinos are mixed/lean Democrat, and blacks are Democrat.
This makes voting rights and gerrymandering issues extremely important to how a Republican minority dominates elections in a state with equal D & R.

For ~10 years, we lived the #Texas country life on 10 acres, surrounded on all sides by ranch lands. It was a brisk walk to the end of the driveway to get the mail.
We had (pet) goats, ducks, chickens that were pretty much "free range". Deer and armadillo were daily sightings.

This is Bob the Texas Bobcat, and he or she had a taste for chickens, ducks, and fawns. Bob was not afraid of us, but also not aggressive.

From what I’ve seen so far at the #Texas border, there are a lot of young girls and their mothers packed into cement cell blocks. They don’t look like criminals to me, but they are definitely fleeing from criminals in their home countries.
Also saw many who slept in a cell with concrete floor under mylar blanket. Shoes still caked with mud. Doors of cells had signs with identifying characteristics like “male juvi 13 under”
