Hi everyone thank you for all your support and empathy in the past few days.
To minimize further injuries, the original voicemail with the intended subject's name has been removed, but I am reposting here with name obscured:… (thanks for tech help!)
I am also reposting my entire Twitter message regarding this incident, with other important ideas I forgot to include:

I moved to a new apartment last month and I’ve already been asked to show ID three times to prove I live here. A thread. #EverydayRacism
First time, I was carrying groceries from Trader Joe’s. I come up to the building, doorman opens door, looks at me and says “service entrance is in the back.”

“Bruh, I live here.”

Then he demands ID and makes me sit there while he looks me up to get into my own damn apartment.
Second time, I’m walking into the building and I get stopped again.

“Can I help you?”

“I live here Apartment number []”

“Hold on, hold on let me have your name and ID.”

“I just moved, trying to get home.”

“Yea, yea but we gotta get to know each other, right?”

Translation: he was a White dude so we have to pretend that premeditated fabrication of explosives and terroristic murder by mail are just the sympathetic growing pains of White young adulthood.
He wasn’t too “challenged” to figure out how to obtain the materials and construct multiple pipe bombs, then strategically mail them and avoid detection long enough to kill 3 people. Y’all need to stop willing innocence to these White dudes, all it does is give them permission.
Conditt = Vanilla ISIS. End of story.

1/ Yes, #EverydayRacism is feeding into a narrative that distorts the truth about #violence, its perpetrators and victims…
2/ On the victim side, since that’s my dissertation work, if the victim is #Black and young, they’re portrayed as having asked for it….
3/ If the victim is #White or older or very young, well then let’s look at Black young men close to them…
