Google+, you burst on to the #socialmedia scene like a comet. A rubbish comet in a fermement of amazing comets but a comet nonetheless. As others said you were wonderful & important, selling their services on the back of you, I said you were rubbish. I take my share of the blame.
As you became a wasteground, we continued to see the charlatans say you were a vital part of the #socialmedia spend. You weren't. #Search was always more important - along with the other social networks. #Google does so many things so amazingly well but this was never one of them

#Iranian Resistance NCRI welcomes decision by Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google 2shut down numerous #socialmedia accounts+pages run by religious fascism in #Iran calling it Internet Terrorism. It calls on organizations like Wikipedia to completely clean up their networks 
So @facebook is making a lot of changes & here's my little rant. No, I am not being censored. .However, they removed page "reviews" and replaced it with recommendations. It's not as helpful, not as visible & is a PITA. As an admin, I have to screenshot the recommends & post them.
Secondly, @facebook has a pinned post option for groups. Since they've started their improvements, I've been unable to unpin a previously pinned post and replace it with a new one. It's a problem. I need to be able to pin new posts in a group.
Third, @facebook has a glitch with "spam" posts. Several glitches actually. I post things to "self only" view to read later. If I then delete it, I get a message that "FB has removed your post." They didn't, I did.

Let me teach you something about building a reputation in the #socialmedia age.
Make sure enough people know you in real life. People who can testify about what you stand for and who can attest to your true character and values.
This is because #socialmedia invents at least a couple of scandals every day. Someday, one might hit you. It is the people who really know you, who will vouch for you. Others will be quick to believe the negative story and use your life as entertainment.
SOME RECENT THOUGHTS ON THE CHURCH | I'm beginning to understand that almost every #socialmedia post (complaint) that begins with "The #Church", actually means, "The Pastor". Part of the problem is the "inversion" of the Christian model.
Instead of physical churches being training grounds that equip saints for the work of the ministry in the world; they've become central expensive bureaucracies where Christians bring their gifts to church. Then, the churches centrally dispense on their behalf, through Pastors.
So, when we say, "Church doesn't do something", we actually mean, "The Pastor doesn't do it", since local churches in Nigeria are "undemocratic" and run by Pastors.
@jack Dear Jack, there is not the "perception of #shadowbanning”, but the reality of it and much worse: The #suspension of many bona fide #Twitter-users, who do not troll, harass or engage in #hatespeech, but simply push a conservative agenda. This happened in the #US, #UK, FRA & #GER.
@jack 2. You now find many of those accounts on #GAB & users like #KoljaBonke, an author from #Frankfurt, who was suspended on #Twitter for giving daily updates about migrant #crime in #Germany (just posting articles or police reports). So content you find in a newspaper!

I'm typically a low maintenance client. I won't come to your office. I will pay as at when due via transfers. I don't haggle much. I once did steady business with a caterer for 2 years without meeting her once.
All I ask is, "Give me peace of mind" and don't try to screw me over because I don't make trouble. There are 2 service providers that are now my enemies. You take my money and loyalty and give me shitty service in return. God had better hold me.
The closures that @Rachael_Swindon highlights should also been seen in the context of government policy. She is completely right that this is how the Tories are reducing #socialmobility but it is also how they are reducing access to other vital services for the most vulnerable.
It has long been government policy (in common with other countries) that people should access government services online. Other countries recognise that there is a need to keep other options open to protect the most vulnerable. The UK government took a different approach.
The UK government decided to tell people who had difficulty accessing #digital services that they should go to the #library where staff would help them. They then gave no funding for the training of library staff or for their time or for the equipment needed.

A - My #SocialMediaSanity rules (a thread): 1) If they annoy you, mute them. 2) If they are rude to you, block them. 3) If you like them, follow them. 4) Don't automatically follow back, but discern. 5) Turn off pop up notifications on your phone to limit app time.
B - 6) Take a weekly #SocialMedia Sabbath & don't go on social media for 1 day. Don't announce it, just don't do it. Getting "likes" for taking a break defeats the purpose 7) Don't fight w/ ppl in threads. 8) You're never wrong to be polite, even if the other person is rude.
C - 9) Build digital relationships, but don't expose your personal life too much. Once something is on social media, you can't take it back. Make a deliberate boundary. 10) Don't let social media b the 1st & last thing u check each day - those precious moments should b 4 prayer.
1) If customers are to trust you and commit to your brand, your brand needs to be professional. Hire that graphic designer to create your logo, business cards, website so that you have a consistent look. Hire a marketing guru and/or a business coach to help you plan strategy.
2) Research business systems so invoicing, proposals and communications are complete, organized and automated. How you treat your business is how you’ll be perceived to treat a client’s business. #Influencer #LinkedInMarketing #OnlineMarketing #DigitalMarketing #Marketing #Sales

Before the advent of #socialmedia & mobile phones, we used to receive bad news & negativity in small doses - in the daily papers, on network news, by non-smart phones. Our souls had time to process things and space to heal. Now we receive turmoil & stress almost instantaneously.
Our souls are overwhelmed. Our perceptions are being shaped by Twitter and IG without us realising it. We carry the bitterness of Twitter political and gender fights with us. We read bad news constantly.
A few years ago, I was thinking about adding #realestate to my #investment portfolio. At the time, I was under the impression that I needed millions of Naira to begin. I'd also heard horror stories about "Omonile" and people being swindled by fraudulent property agents.
Then, a friend invited me to a #realestate training workshop. I realised serendipity works in wonderful ways. Sometimes, when your heart is focused on something, the universe has a way of making it happen.
It turned out the facilitator was someone I had previously trained on #socialmedia. Now I was learning about #realestate from him. How life works!
FOCUSED WEALTH: I have a pretty diverse network, thanks to #socialmedia. I meet incredible people offline that I first met online. Some of them are accomplished investors. I have noticed a trend.
