2a. Without the economic muscle of the EU we do not have the means to get good trade agreements (Trade Agreements are staggeringly complex legal documents.
2b. Signing them is easy, getting a good one is the trick and that takes time, a team of knowledgeable and experienced negotiators and economic muscle, all which we don't have).
No Deal Brexit means there are no treaties in place between UK and the World. Everything will grind to a halt on 30th March 2019. We do not get access to WTO automatically. Everything needs to be renegotiated with guaranteed lesser terms than we have now with EU. 1/
Planes, Eurostar and ports will grind to a halt. No trade agreements and no freedom of movement, so chaos at customs and immigration. No EURATOM so no nuclear energy or medicine plus more. Medicines scarce. Food shortages. £ plunged further. Price rises. 2/
EU citizens here & Brit citizens in Europe will become illegal citizens unless they have already been granted settled status that they have to pay for. Think of the backlog at the Home Office and the high number of errors made there. All EU here and Brits there lose some rights.

1.#A50Challenge disputes the govt's claims that a 'decision' to leave the EU has been made 'in accordance with [our] constitutional requirements'. The underlying assumptions of that decision haven't been tested in court. THREAD explaining why the ref result isn't a decision #FBPE
2. In 2011 the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Act was legislated during the 1st Cameroon govt. It was unique as it was a 'madatory' referendum. The same administration legislated for the Referendum Act 2015 as an 'advisory' ref; 2011 bound parliament 2015 didn't.
3. The 1975 ref process was different. It was, what's termed as, a post-legislative ref. In other words, Parliament voted for EC membership, then legislated for the Referendum Act 1975. The assent of the people (67% to 33%) then made that result binding; theoretically.

The UK has taken the lead in efforts for EU enlargement. It pushed for the inclusion of Eastern European states. It pushed for Turkey to get its shit together so that it could join (which it made very slow progress with, and has largely been undone by Erdogan)

After #Brexit, the UK will have no influence on EU enlargement. In fact, as setting the EU as a rival, every country that joins the EU will a) strengthen the EU, and b) unravels any trade deals that the UK will have made with that country, isolating it further.
1. All of this flagged up by #Remain before A50 passed by the CONS & Labour..I remember distinctly our warnings that if it went thru Control passed to the EU27. It goes to prove how much damage both parties are prepared to inflict on our country to impose their ideology on us all
